Code 0

False Run

Code 1

Used by the first arriving company to indicate that their company and other designated companies can handle the incident.

Code 2 Used by the first arriving company to report a fire. All other dispatched companies continue to the scene.
Code 3 Used to indicate a working fire and results in the dispatch of an extra engine company.
Out Tap Historical term used today, to tell the dispatcher that the fire has been extinguished, and that all companies are returning to service.
S.M.T. Status-Message-Transmitter - A radio that transmits a data-burst which automatically updates a units current status in the dispatchers computer - status such as "Enroute", "Available", and "On the Scene". This device is installed in all C.F.D. vehicles and apparatus.
A.O.R. Available-On-Radio
A.I.Q. Available-In-Quarters
